Re: custom local web opening to server default page

Hi Charles,
I'm sorry for the confusion! Currently I have my custom web (testweb)
accessible from RWW using port 444 instead of the default companyweb
SharePoint web. That works correctly when accessing it from outside the
network using RWW and clicking on the link "Use My Company's internal Web
site" to access the site.
When on the LAN side of the network if I type http://testweb or just testweb
without the http:// in the address bar of IE the page that was being
displayed (when using a workstation) was the "Welcome to Windows Small
Business Server 2003" page that had links to:
My Company's Internal Web Site
Network Configuration Wizard
Remote Web Workplace
Information and Answers
The page had a gray bar across the top of the page with a white background
below that. Welcome was in the left corner of the grey bar and in the right
corner of the grey bar was the Windows Small Business Server 2003 logo.
If I typed http://testweb or even just testweb while on the server the
testweb page would load as expected.
Hopefully I have covered everything that WAS happening and I say was because
I left the changes that I had made (that should have made this configuration
work) overnight and today it is now working as expected. I am thinking that
the changes had not propagated through AD.
Thanks For Your Assistance
Jeff
