Hi Elgin,
Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.
>From your description, I understand your network diagram is the following:
Internet--Router--DSL--SBS

ISA----------|
You want the client machines to automatically use the win2k3 for client
computer internet access when the SBS goes offline. If I have misunderstood
your concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
The method you have performed is not workable. If you want to allow client
to automatically use either ISA server for internet access, you may use any
one the following method:
1. You may need to setup the ISA servers in an Enterprise Array on two
servers.
Please refer to the following documents:

2. You may also use the third party software. For example, you may use
Rainfinity below:

Hope the information help and I look forward to your reply.

| I have this setup:
| 2 DSLs (for Internet redundancy)
| 2 servers: 1 SBS Prem, 1 W2K3 member w/ISA 2000 (for server redundancy)
| 1 Xincom dual-WAN router to aggragate the DSLs (and failover)
|
| Both ISAs connect to the router and the router is configured to forward
any
| requests to either available DSL. I can ping and browse from either
server
| console,
| but all clients insist on going through the SBS.
|
| How do I configure to allow clients to use either ISA for Internet
access?
| Right now, if SBS goes offline, we have no Internet access. I have tried
| pointing everything on a client to the W3K3 (firewall client, IE IP,
default
| gateway, host file entry), but it's a "no go" until the SBS is back up.
|
| Any ideas guys?
| Elgin
