I recently upgraded 5 machines from XP Home to Pro, using the XP Pro
"Upgrade" version.
I first updated the Home with SP2 and all patches.
I only had one minor issue, which required me to boot to safe mode and
uninstall a novell client. I re-installed a more current version of the
client and all is well.
I recommend an "upgrade" disc, because that way you have the option to
upgrade or full install if needed.
Some vendors carry "upgrade license only" which can save you a few bucks.
After the upgrade things are running stable, and one user says its "faster
now".
:)
