Re: Lan setup 2 nic

Hi Marina,
I have taken Frank McCallister's advice and added a router to our external
connection so we have a 2 nic with router setup now. Also this allows us to
failover to a direct connection to the internet to a particular workstation
(swapping cables) in case of server problems (the server has been
problematic). In any case, I have set this system up according to the 2 nic
router setup indicated on your website. We have connection to the internet
and the workstations can see the server however the server still cannot see
the workstations. Moreover, the ICW fails for the network setup when I run it
(repeatedly) and also there are no web services to configure in that screen
of the ICW. No remote web workplace, outlook web access, etc. I have tried
setting up both with the UPNP enabled and disabled on the router but always
failing.

In this new setup we have the DHCP range is excluding 192.168.16.1-9
(automatically added by the server). I have checked the TCP/IP binding for
the external nic and there are two choices (like the internal nic) both are
subordinate to the service (client for MS networks or file sharing), it is
not possible to select only the TCP/IP. The higher level service
automatically is selected.

What to do? I have pasted a new version ot the IPconfigs from server and
workstation here FYI.
