No you can't get away from that single point of failure. But you can design
around it.
Redundancy has many forms which can put your mind at greater ease.
Failing that > I suggest the cost savings from the SBS SKU's (MS SBS2003,
Exchange 2003, ISA2004, SQL2000, Trend SMB, Veritas SMB, etc etc. ) would
more than cover the cost of a second redundant server available in case
disaster strikes. Add a few extra spares to cover the most likely hardware
failures too.
Then add in the value of the feature set and tight integration of SBS and
you've got a compelling argument. For less than 75 users that is. (more like
50 I'd suggest) Then it's time to get all enterprise about it.
I agree it would be a no brainer if we could remove this limitation or have
a middle ground to cater for those who are too small to go enterprise but
too big to risk losing business continuity. Add that to the wishlist for
SBS2007.
