Hi David,
Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup. Hi Steve, Thanks for your input.
When you create VPN to SBS, to access internal resources and internet
resources at the same time, you may configure proxy in IE and gateway
settings. For detailed information, please refer to the following KB
articles:
317025 You Cannot Connect to the Internet After You Connect to a VPN Server

Windows

Also, as Steve said, you may try to use RWW, OWA to access SBS. You may add
these users to Remote Web Workplace Users and run CEICW to publish RWW, OWA.
You may follow the steps to run CEICW:
1. Expand Standard Management | To Do List.
2. Click Connect to the Internet in the right pane.
3. Navigate the wizard to Firewall and then select Enable firewall.
4. Click Next twice and then select Allow access to the following web site
services from the internet.
5. Make sure OWA, RWW be selected and click Next.
6. Click Create a new Web services certificate (input your FQDN as the web
server certificate) and then click Next.
7. Following the wizard to finish it.

| Hi,
|
|
| I have a few customers with SBS 2003 Std who are using RRAS as PPTP VPN
| server. A few of them want to be able to access the internet & company
| network at the same time, from home.
| .
| For those users I have enabled split tunneling (disabled: Use default
| gateway on remote network). I know this is a security risk, but I was
unable
| to make it work another way. I created the connections manually, not using
| CMAK, because there were only 2 laptop users there.
| As I recall I could make this work using ISA 2004 from the premium ed.,
but
| they don't want to pay that much for only that one feature they'll use.
|
| I looked on the net (google, newsgroups, technet) but I was unable to find
| anything to configure this thing correctly. Is it impossible to disable
| split tunneling and still allow users to access the internet through the
VPN
| connection? (without manually configuring routing tables on the client)
|
|
| thanks,
|
| David
