Re: No Automatic welcome e-mail after SBS SP1

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi Parsley,

Thanks for your reply.

Since you can not telnet 127.0.0.1 on port 25, I would like to confirm if
you have other application occupied the port 25. To check it, please run
"netstat -nao" on the SBS server and you will see the column similar to the
following:
Proto Local address foreign address state PID
TCP 0.0.0.0:25 0.0.0.0:0 listening ****

Then you press "ctrl +Alt +Delete" to open the task manager, click View ->
select columns, check on "PID" and then click OK. Find the process for the
PID to see what it is. (By default, the process should be Inetinfo.exe)

Meanwhile, how do you send/receive normal emails? Are you using exchange
directly or using the POP3 email?

If you have any concern on this thread, I am glad to be of further
assistance. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Jerry Zhao (MSFT)
