fax problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I installed a Diamond SupraExpress 56e Pro Fax Modem in my SBS 2003 and
configured the Fax Services.
While trying to send a fax, although i can hear the modem's dial tone before
dialing, i get the "No dial tone" error message.

The modem is properly installed as i get normal answers when i try to query
the modem.
Is there any help or any tips available for this problem???\
