Reinstalling doesn't necessarily fix issues... diagnose the ceicw error...as it may not be software based at all...but setup of the networking.

No-No to reinstall? I was hoping that was a possibility, you know, pop in the discs, reinstall, presto all done, good as new....
I have the log, but it seems quite large, should I still post it here?
And maybe I'll consider ISA 2004 if you can tell me it won't make me pull out my hair like 2000 did....
Thanks for the help Susan,
Paul

Fix the wizard..don't reinstall the server
Find the icw log file and post the contents... we'll fix it up
Also ISA 2004 is available for that SBS premium box you know...

Hi All,
Recently we removed ISA server from a SBS 2003 installation (long story, perhaps another time) and now we are experiencing strange behavior with the internet connection wizard. It runs, but fails on the firewall configuration for one, and it also does not make OWA public even though I select in the the list of available web services - I have to manually go in and remove the IP restrictions on the Exchange and Exchweb folders in IIS admin to get it to work.
End result is that the wizard appears to be broken, and I need to enable Exchange to accept incoming e-mail because we are switching away from the POP connnector to directly delivered mail.
So my question - Is there a way to re-install, for lack of a better term, SBS without messing things up even further? Hopefully by doing this I can restore everything to a fresh installation state while maintaining the current data that resides in exchange, ect... Or better yet, will installing SBS SP1 have the same effect? All in all, we have a seriously funked up server on our hands here and need to get it behaving properly once again...
Any suggestions or insights would be appreciated... Thanks in advance!
Paul
