Thanks for your reply. There are two nics in the SBS machine. I simply get
no response (can not even ping) the ip address when I type it from a machine
outside of the office. Connection to the internet from the office surfing
is working fine via the dual nics and vpn/router. A visit to grc.com shows
the ip address that I know and that the ports are open. I am thinking that
this is probably something really dumb that I am missing. I was expecting
to see the SBS home page when i typed in the ip address from the web (out of
the office), like i do when at the office. From there I expected to be able
to log in and use RWW to connect to individual workstations. Perhaps I
misunderstand what the RWW is or how it starts... or perhaps the SBS
firewall is misconfigured. Could it be a certificate issue? There are no
error messages whatsoever... just 'page can not be found' in IE and nothing
in the SBS event logs (since nothing appears to reach it). Thanks again.
