Hi Rob,
Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.
I am sorry for the delay since I was discussing with our Product Group.
Regarding your first question, you may not be able to do that. The fax can
only be printed in the default printing format.
For the second question, May I know how you achieve this when you used the
fax machine to print the fax. For SBS2003, incoming faxes are "all or
none", i.e., one can see all incoming faxes or see none. You can configure
this as a security setting from Fax Service Manager on the SBS2003 box.
However, Windows Fax, as of released products, do not have an ability to
secure some incoming faxes by not showing to others.
You may also refer to the following KB article:

image in Windows Server 2003

Hope the information help and I lok forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| SBS03 Standard, Brooktrout 2 port card, one fax line, LaserJet 4050,
printing
| faxes: my client (law office) has a fax machine that auto-senses fax size
and
| prints on letter or legal.
|
| I moved faxing to the server, and because the principles do not have (or
| want...) pc's, only the minions, they want everything printed when it
comes
| in. (I can't route the faxes via-email if they don't have a pc... ;)
|
| Can I set up a L/J 4050 to auto-sense the paper size when the fax comes
to
| the printer, and automatically print faxes to letter when it's 8.5x11,
and to
| a legal tray when it's 8.5x14? (If I can't, then I have taken away
| functionality by moving them to SBS server-based faxing, and that's bad.)
|
| Most of the faxes are letter-sized, so as a work-around, they are
printing
| legal faxes a second time on legal paper from the 'incoming faxes' link
on
| the internal web page.
|
| Which leads me to my second question:
|
| The owner wants to know how I can provide security on the faxes. "If I
get
| something personal faxed to me, or something of a sensitive nature, I
don't
| necessarily want the entire office to be able to see it." Good point!
|
| Has anybody out there addressed either of these issues? Any ideas would
be
| much appreciated.
