Re: SBS 2003 VPN

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thank you for replying so quickly!

I’m sorry for any confusion, you can ignore the first paragraph referring to
Windows 2000 and its newsgroup, I also posted this question there.

I am using Windows Server 2003 Standard for Small Business Server. It comes
bundled with Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 for client deployment. I was
previously running Windows Server 2000 and was able to create a VPN that
supported IPX using Routing and Remote Access, because it would prompt you
for the protocols to use. In SBS 2003, however, it does not ask for any
additional protocols. I have tried the Remote Access wizard in Server
Manager, as well as a manual configuration similar to what I did previously
with Windows 2000 Server.

No, I don’t need IPX for a Novell server; I need it for some legacy
applications that Mobile Users will access through the VPN.

Is it possible to create a VPN in SBS 2003 Routing and Remote Access that
can use IPX (either by itself, but preferably in addition to TCP/IP)?

Thanks again!
