RE: Monitoring and reporting problems

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi Majero,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

>From your description, I understand you receive "the page cannot be
displayed" errors in "monitoring and reporting" pages of the Server
Management Console. If I have misunderstood your concern, please do not
hesitate to let me know.

Currently, would you please to help me to collect the following information?

1. How do you change the IP? Do you have changed the IP of external network
card or internal network card?
2. If you have changed the IP of internal network card, you must do it
using the change ip wizard as following:

1) Expand Standard Management | Internet and E-mail on Server Management.
2) In the right pane, click Change Server IP Address.

3. After you doing any configuration on ip address, make sure you have
rerun CEICW which is located in Standard Management | To Do List and click
Connect to the Internet on Server Management. For detailed information,
please refer to the following KB article:

825763 How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server
2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763

4. If you added a router or firewall in front of the server, make sure you
have opened 80/443/4125 and forward them to the sbs server.

If it still does not work, please let me know.

Hope the information helps. Thanks again!

Best regards,

Crina Li (MSFT)

| We made a server change awhile back that seemed to kill our monitoring
and
| reporting. We had to change our IP scheme as the computers on the
network
| had external IP addresses originally. After changing to a local scheme,
we
| now get a "The page cannot be displayed" message, no error number. And
when
| the server tries to send a usage report, we get error 4353 in the logs.
| ASP.NET and IIS Admin services are both up and running.
|
| We have our intranet site posted to the internet, so that you can go to
| intranet.companyname.com and see our site. /exchange works, and so does
| /remote.
|
| When we first made the IP change, nothing worked, but after some
| adjustments, we got everything else working.
|
| Can anyone help me out with this? Let me know if you need more info.
|
| Majero
