SBS2003 install

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I am installing SBS2003 on our server that previously held sbs2000. There is
a promise fasttrak 100 controller in the server. When I run the installation
from sbs 2003 setup disk 1, I install the driver for the promise controller
and everything looks fine. When it gets to the point where I have to format
the drive, it takes forever. I waited an hr and only was able to get 1% of
the drive formatted. Is there anything I can do to speed this up. I have 2
drives mirrored using the promise RAID configuration.
