Re: dumb dns question

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

If you need to have both servers effectively in the same domain then you
should buy and use the Transition Pack on one of the servers and then
dcpromo it down, and back up into the SBS domain as a replica DC. Then if
needed re-install Exchange etc

Course, would suggest doing a full backup before doing any of it.. and
maybe even an Exmerge of the Exchange server to be transitioned.

Another option would be to use a Windows Server 2003 machine simply as a
replica DC at one of the locations (and not use SBS at that location).. and
depending on needs simply use the Exchange server on the remaining SBS
server with the remote clients using Outlook 2003 with RPC over HTTP.

SBS does not allow you to have two SBS servers in the same domain, nor can
you create Trust.
