Re: Sync desktop/laptop mailboxes question

At the time of my original post, I was indeed unfamiliar with RPC over HTTP,
but after the last couple of days searching and reading, I understand a lot
more what's going on. Just tonight I finally configured Outlook on my Tablet
PC using RPC over HTTP...what a thrill! It's the end of a long struggle with
trying to keep Outlook sync'd on 2 computers *without* Exchange Server.

I also didn't quite understand how user names/passwords worked with all my
computers (2 desktops and 2 laptops), some of which connect to the SBS
server, others that don't, like my laptop running Outlook using RPC over
HTTP. I log onto the laptop using one SBS account (but not connected to the
Domain), but log into Outlook using a different account (my main desktop
computer account), and everything works (so far). Very cool stuff.

Thanks for your help, I did forward ports 443 and 4125 to my server as you
suggested, and have no problem using RWW from the laptop as well. So many
options for Outlook 2003 using SBS 2003!
