Adding computer to domain does not see all local profiles

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi, the most frustrating part of this issue is that it is my own internal
network, and I know the history, and still can't resolve the issue. I have a
ghost image of my XP client, which I have used many times successfully. I
also have a ghost image of my SBS, so I KNOW everything works!!!
After starting my XP machine with the image I know works, it would not
recognise the domain. I removed the machine via AD then on the XP machine I
removed it from the domain. I then created the client account via AD and ran
the connectcomputer wizard. Problem now is it only sees the the Administrator
profile, not the bucket profile. This has happened as well after I reghosted
the XP machine back to the known working image. Plus I rolled back my server
via ghost image to before the client machine account became corrupted.

I use local profiles only and have done this many times before. Can anyone
please assist with what may be the issue. The only profiles available are
Administrator and none. I may be able to resolve the issue by choosing none
and renaming the local profile to suit, but losing my preferences on the
whole of windows is killing me !!!

Now I know what it feels like to be a client :(

Hope you can help,

Terry - Bucket
