Re: SBS 2000 and wireless LAN



I would certainly use access control(it cannot HURT!),WEP or WPA, and as a
rule I DO NOT BROADCAST the SSID.

Some of the newer Netgear WAP's allow you to adjust broadcast power, and it
is recommended that you tune it DOWN to the minimum required to get the
connection reliably...no sense advertising un-necessarilly.

I currently have the setup described below...i.e. private IP DMZ for
transient users and dual NIC SBS2000 protecting the network on a different
network segment....Works great....
