RE: New RWW annoyance

Hello CPA,

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

>From your description, I understand that after you checked and unchecked
the box "Enable anonymous access", you were prompted two times for
credentials when you were trying to log in RWW. If I have misunderstood
your issue, please let me know.

Before we go any further, I need your help to gather some information to
isolate the issue:

1. Does the issue occur when you trying to access RWW internally or
externally?

2. Does the issue occur with when you trying to logging in OWA by typing
https://yourserver/exchange in IE?

3. On the server, run "iisreset" (without quotation marks), does the issue
occur?

4. We need to check your IIS settings, and see whether they have being
modified.

a) On the server, expand to Server Management\Advanced Management\Internet
Information Services\Yourserver(local computer)\Web Sites\Default Web
Site\Remote.

b) Right click Remote.

c) On the Virtual Directory tab, the default setting should be like this:

Check the box "A directory located on this computer".

Local path: c:\interpub\Remote.

Check the boxes Read, Log visits and Index this resource.

Application name: Remote.

Execute permissions: Scripts only.

Application pool: DefaultAppPool.

d) Directory Security tab, click the first Edit button, the default
setting should be:

"Enable anonymous access" - By default, the "Enable anonymous access"
should be checked and I do not recommend you to disable it.
"Integrated Windows authentication"

e) After you change back all the default settings in step c ) and d ), run
"iisreset" (without quotation marks).

I appreciated your time and help. If anything unclear or you need any
assistance, please let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Brandy Nee
