Watch your MTU

Just a heads up for anyone troubleshooting setups.
New SBS2003 Standard install on Dell hardware.
Deleted Dell install and did a clean install.
Installed SP1 (the SP install went okay, however a test install to my
VMWare test setup was less than impressive) I will not be updating in
place systems for some time.
The client had a iBurst wireless connection in place. Setup a Netcomm
firewall/router with 2 NICS and used the ICW to set up internet
access.
Problems encountered
1. SMTP mail stuck in queue
2. Spotty POP email collection
3. RWW failing when trying to access server with some VBscript error
4. Slow IE page loading
5. VPN - forget it
Note that Netcomm recommend that to resolve VPN problems with their
router to ensure the MTU setting was at 1492 (default) and that PPTP
passthrough is ticked. It so happens this setting stuffs up the
iBurst.
Managed to find a reference to improving iBurst performance to set the
MTU to 1392.
Did this and problem 1/2/3/4 above were immeadiately resolved. Still
can't VPN but can get by with using RWW.
