Re: Unable to connect to RWW over internet

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Thanks again. I went thru the CECICW again. I hadn't created a new
certificate the last time, so maybe that will help.

This didn't show up:Next. On the Firewall
page, select "Enable firewall" and click Next .

The consultant didn't install ISA after he uninstalled it before the
upgrade, so maybe that's why it isn't showing up. Do I need to do something
else for firewall- you said
The wizard will automatically configure
the SBS 2003 Basic Firewall or ISA to securely publish the two sites

On the remote and exchange sites, for access, both say All denied except
192.168.0.4 and 127.0.0.1. I had done a test install of SBS2003 on a virtual
pc and they are set similar there. we tried allowing all, restarting IIS and
it didn't change things.

The man who manages our web server did some port testing after the other guy
said he opened the ports and this is what his results show:

C:\WINDOWS>nslookup hector.anything-xtreme.com

Name: hector.anything-xtreme.com
Address: 66.49.45.125

C:\WINDOWS>telnet hector.anything-xtreme.com 443
Connecting To hector.anything-xtreme.com...Could not open connection to the
host
, on port 443: Connect failed

C:\WINDOWS>telnet hector.anything-xtreme.com 444
Connecting To hector.anything-xtreme.com...Could not open connection to the
host
, on port 444: Connect failed

C:\WINDOWS>telnet hector.anything-xtreme.com 4125
Connecting To hector.anything-xtreme.com...Could not open connection to the
host
, on port 4125: Connect failed

C:\WINDOWS>telnet hector.anything-xtreme.com 80 WORKS

It looks like it's still a firewall setting, so I'm going to have to wait
until the consultant who knows the firewall gets back to me.
