Re: SBS two adapter setup with Netopia Router. Help Save my weeked

for a simple 'add a NIC' thread this went WILD.

Seems a bit too coincidental that the error appeared as we were changing
things, and the cause may have been different, the behaviour is different,
you suggest earlier that you were able to start OK in DSRM whereas this
message says it should not be possible when this problem occurs. Also, I see
no reason why an April virus definition problem should suddenly rear it's
ugly head now.

When you restarted in DSRM you suggest 'It ran said drive C and Drive D are
clear. Then booted and...' but you don't mention resetting the IP config nor
returning the status of services to normal. Sounds like it did a chkdsk and
rebooted, if so the idea would have been to again try for DSRM, get to a
desktop to change the NIC settings.

Slow down son.

I'm probably going to make you laugh. Have you documented the changes you
have made? Things like 'I believe when I kept getting errors that services
did not start I changed the what to do on fail' should be undone. If we undo
a couple of your changes you should have a working box.

Ten deep breaths and what is the current situation? If the box doesn't start
normally, does it start OK in DSRM?
