Re: Random Client Disconnects

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have switched the card to 100 Full and have switches (2 x 16 port 1
for front end systems and one for the backend systems)
The other thing I should mention is that two of the clients that connect are
connecting via the wireless access point, these two notebooks have the same
problem.

I will however try to set all the wired PCs to 100 Full and see if that
helps.

I am convinced that it is not a hardware issue, rather it is a software
issue. I belive that it is to do with Offline Files but have little
experience with troubleshooting them. It could be other things I know.

For some background info: Server hardware is Asus mb (p4p800) with 3GHz
Intel, dual intel server pro nics, 1GB ram, 2 SATA 160GB drives using Intel
SATA RAID Mirrored
All PCs are Intel 2.4GHz P4s using Asus boards and onboard nics.
1 Laptop is Acer TravelMate C302 TabletPC
1 Laptop is Acer Aspire 1414WLCi
All network cable is CAT6
Besides doing basic email, the server hosts our interal website for document
storage, and runs our POS system (The main program is istalled on each
workstation and the data files are stored on the server), also does DHCP,
and file storage. (Mostly word, excel and pdf stuff, some pictures)

Reports show everything as good, CPU usage never exceeds 15% load (that's
the highest i've seen it) in 24hr period.

Thanks for your time.
