Add those to the firewall rulesets.
YOU WANT the firewall on those workstations...it's layers of an onion.

Before SP1 everything worked using the wizards. After SP1 there is the additional Firewall Settings feature as with WXP/SP2.
While trying to Resolve an issue with Symantec Corporate configuration, which tells me to manually configure a bunch of ports and progams, actually advising to simply disable the Firewalls, not like they want to do any configuring themselves during the install process. Anyways, I enabled the Firewall, created the exceptions and now find that the LAN clients can no longer access the company web or exchange server.
It looks as if there are now two firewalls on the SBS2003 Std, and now I have to either enter all of the exceptions on the XPSP2 type firewall, or get my port and program exceptions built into the wizard, where I can't seem to find the proper place to enter any exceptions.
The Ports needed for Symantec A/V Corporate Edition Are:
PGM: LUCOMSERVER.EXE PGM: RTVSCAN.EXE UDP: 38293 (Intel PDS) UDP: 2967 (RTVScan)
These ports are needed to communicate with the Symantec Server Console (SSC) which is installed on one of the XPSP2 Workstations.
What you need to do is edit the Firewall GPO so that Symantec can communicate with the clients
