Re: Forward to an Internal - SBS2003 STD

Hi Simon,

Thanks for your reply.

I understand you want to setup PcAnywhere. Would you please to help me to
confirm the following information?

1. Is the internal server a SecureNAT client? It means that the internal
server's default gateway must be the internal NIC of the SBS.

2. The issue may also occur we have not correctly configured the port for
PCAnywhere. Please contact the Symantec support to gather the following
detailed information:

1) What protocol that PCAnywhere uses, TCP or UDP?
2) What ports that it needs?
3) What direction of the ports that it needs?
4) Does it need some secondary connection?

3. The Basic Firewall in RRAS only provides the limited function of the
traffic forward and it may not work for some third party applications.
Based on the information you provided, it seems your users need to access
more services (Such as RDP, PCAnywhere) of the internal network. If so, I
suggest you install ISA Server from the SBS 2003 Premium Edition Setup CD
since it has more powerful functions.

Thanks for your time and I will look forward to your reply.
