RE: VPN connection timeout

According to your description, I understand that you encountered the
timeout error on one of the user when connect to SBS 2003 via VPN.

Generally speaking, if only one of the user experience this issue, it might
be caused by the idle time before auto disconnection is set on the client
as the connection is establish from the client side.

Before we troubleshoot this issue, please make sure that there are no
special setting on this COM + application, does this application need to
connect the VPN to work, is there any setting on the application to require
the disconnect the VPN if the application is set to active?

If there are no special setting on this application. In order to solve this
issue, please check the following setting on your problematic client
computer:

1. Open VPN connection on the client computer.
2. Click Properties.
3. In the Option tab, please make sure that "idle time before
hanging up" is set to Never.
