RE: RWW ports?

Hello Mike,

Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.

Also, many thanks for Les's valuable input.

According to your description, I understand that you want to know what
protocols and ports are needed for in Remote Web Workplace (RWW). If I have
misunderstood your concern, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my experience, Remote Web Workplace service requires TCP protocol
and port number 4125, 443.

For detailed information, please refer to the below SBS Network
Configuration Settings guide:

Additionally, if you want to configure RWW access, please refer to the KB
article 825763 in the below link:

2003

Otherwise, additional information for your reference in the below:

TCP port Definition

25 Email (SMTP)

80 required for HTTP
requests for your site

443 required for HTTPS
requests using SSL, which secures communications from your server and a Web
browser

444 Companyweb

4125 Remote Web Workplace

1723 (plus GRE Protocol 47) VPN

3389 Terminal Services

21 FTP

I hope this helps. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know. I am always happy to be of further assistance.

Best regards,

Nathan Liu (MSFT)
