Re: Second "developer" server with SBS 2003

Hi Jared,

You should have no trouble joining the second box to your SBS 2k3 domain.

Once you have the OS installed, create a computer account for it from the
'Server Computers' node of Standard Management. Connect the new computer to
the network switch, and run http://<SBSservername>/connectcomputer to
configure the member server.

You may use the standard management functions on the member server.

Additionally, the member server can be made accessible via the Remote Web
Workplace, or you could VPN into the SBS network, and then connect to the
member server. (there are quite a few ways to connect., i haven't listed
them all). Note that the SBS CALs cover client access to the member server,
so you don't need to purchase CALs for the member server. The member server
will however use 1 SBS CAL.

Following is a link to a document that might contain some useful
information - it references an additional server for TS Apps mode, and while
that may not be your goal, many of the steps are applicable.
