Who is your ISP?
A few ISP's are now requireing that you use SMTP Auth. when connecting to
their mail servers. this can be enabled in exchange if required.
Also if you are using DNS as the delivery methid from exchange this could
also cause you some issues as ISPS are also not accepting mail from private
mail servers and are insisiting that you route via your ISP's SMTP servers -
