Cookies & Domains

I maintain networks for several customers and now I have my own problem.
I have installed an SBS 2003 Server at my home and connected my
personal computer to it as a domain member.
While most things where transferred OK,( Favorites, desktop , etc, even OE
and Outlook settings/files - except for my passwords.)
But Even after Importing my old cookies into IE6 they don't seem to work. I
have about 50 user names/pws associated with various customers equipment and
I don't want to have to look them up all the time. Using cookies set by the
password processors in IE has worked nicely before. When I go to a new
computer I can import them and they are usable.
Is there something different about joining a domain that invalidates them?
and is there any programmable way to fix them?
