Re: SBS 2003 Active Directory re-install

Before I'd do that... I'd call PSS. You don't just casually rip out AD in SBS before some investigation.

What happened to this little guy to get it in this mess?

A new SBS 2003 server (in use for about a week) will not do a normal boot. It gets the message: "Security Accounts Manager installation failed.... .Directory Services cannot start...". Reading about it on the MS site, I've come to the conclusion that I need to uninstall and re-install Active Directory. How do I do this??? I can't run DCPROMO when in the Directory Services Restore Mode.

Any suggestions would be appreciated......
