RE: Netgear fvx538 and Prosafe VPN Client

Not exactly, if I use the laptop connected to the worrkgroup and "connect to
the network at my workplace" then all is well it's as if I were directly
connected to the SBS Lan, "withOUT using the SBS VPN connection".

No matter how I attempt to configure the Netgear VPN Client software to
connect to the netgear FVX 530 it refuses to connect advising to turn of the
windows firewall, which I can not due because it's being controlled by the
SBS policy.

So, I conclude that indeed, if I can get connected via the routers the
workstation pesents itself to the SBS as if it were locally connected. I just
can't get the stupid Netgear VPN Client software to talk to it's own router.
I am presuming it's some kind of SBS Premium - Windows XP security issue
that's stopping it.

When it works, It's really quite slick, please helpppppppppppppp.

Thanks,
Richard
