HELP intranet.domain.com and www.domain.com no longer working

I'm running Small Business Server 2003 Premium edition with all latest
service packs available before SBS sp1 was released.

In general, intranet.lloydresearch.com and www.lloydresearch.com give me
400/ Bad Request/Invalid Hostname errors in IE, or Firefox, although they
worked fine this morning before a reboot, and the websites are started and
working fine.

Here's the detailed situation:
After a reboot yesterday all websites went down and i couldn't get them
started due some errors. I tracked these down to the IIS iplisten list list
i modified so I removed the ips so the list would go back to default. This
let me start all but two sharepoint sites (companyweb, and the default web
site) The business card website on port 9999 set up at www.lloydresearch.com
was working fine at this point. I determined a reboot should help the last
two sites that wouldn't start. When I rebooted, all sites were running in
IIS but I can't access www.lloydresearch.com or intranet.lloydresearch.com,
and I haven't changed the ISA publishing rules for those links.
intranet.lloydresearch.com links to the defualt website which runs fine when
you conect to it without the intranet.lloydresearch.com hostname.
www.lloydresearch.com is set up as a business card website which also works
fine when accessed by its actual name or port.

Here's a bit more background info...
These problems began when I added a new root sharepoint site accessed via
the host header projects. This site can be accessed fine internally as
projects.lloydresearch.com. Since this site has to use a host header I
managed to get everything working fine by chnaging all websites to use the
same IP address, 192.168.16.3, either with different ports or on port 80 with
host headers. Everything worked fine until the first reboot. I have scanned
the event logs and I can't find anything wrong. These two websties can't be
accessed externally, internally, or even on the server itself. What could it
be? ISA?, DNS?

Does anyone know what is going on or how to resolve this?
What sort of DNS and ISA entries would I need to set these up anyway
(entries may have been altered)
