Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I had the same problem after I installed SP1.
I removed SP1 and FTP began to work again.
I then installed all of the updates including KB893066 and FTP broke again
Removing KB893066 fixed FTP but who knows what I am now exposed to.
