Hello Charles.
Thanks for your help. I will try to give you all of the information you
need.
I have a SBS2000 server at my office with 2 nics, Zyxel prestige DSL modem,
Zyxel Zywall 10 firewall.
>From my home, i was able to use my Gateway PC(WIN XP, SP2), RCA DCM226 cable
modem, SSH Sentinel
VPN Software to establish a VPN to my office(SBS2000). Then i would use RDP
to login to server. That worked
great for years.
Recently i bought a Dell 800SC server and put SBS2003 Premium on it and it
resides in my home. I set it
up to use the internet, which is OK. I joined the Gateway i have at home to
it through a switch on the
internal network. It works OK and i can get onto the internet and see the
server and companyweb.
However, now when itry to VPN to my office from the Gateway workstation, it
will not open. It says
"Cannot open the VPN connection. Check that the gateway is online and
verify that you are using
the correct authentication key"
Here are the answers to your questions:
1. I would consider the workstation remote, since i am trying to VPN to my
office (SBS2000)
2. Sorry there are no messages in the event viewer
3. Only occurs on the one and only WS.
4. I did rerun the CEICW.
5. SSH Sentinel VPN and RDP.
6. When itry this i get "The local policy of this system does not permit you
to logon interactively"
However, when itry it using the administrator name and password, it works
OK.
7. Don't know how to do this.
8. Yes there is a router installed on the SBS2003 server and i tried opening
all of the ports in
your list. Still get the same problem.
Thanks for all of your help.
