Hi Fahlis,
Thank you for your update.
Yes, you're able to use another port to hold the additional SharePoint web
site. If you have any question regarding how to do this, please post to the
Microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices newsgroup.
SBS 2003 SP1 has not been released yet. In addition, even it has been
released, you must contact your SBS software provider or call Microsoft to
obtain the ISA 2004 CD (additional delivery fee needed). The CD will be
delivered to you in some days. So I recommend you to install ISA 2000 back
to the SBS 2003 server. After you get the CD and install ISA Server 2004,
the original rules will be migrated to the ISA 2004.
If you decide not to install ISA 2000, it would be OK. However, you
mentioned that there's only 1 NIC left. Please let me know the detail
network topology. In addition, you must also forward port 80 and 443 from
the router to the SBS machine.
After doing so, please re run the CEICW and make sure that you're using
your external domain name as the certificate. Then, delete the original
certificate on your PDA and connect to the SBS machine. At this point, a
new certificate will be downloaded and please import the new certificate
and test whether the problem persists.
I hope the above info helps. If you have any update, please feel free to
post back.
Best regards,
Crina Li (MSFT)

| Thx for the reply Crina!
|
| I know about the problem with additional web sites on an SBS, but my
| colleague didn´t :(, but you mean it is possible to add one if I use
| different ports even on an SBS?
|
| How many Nics on the exchange server= 2 but as a colleague of mine
| uninstalled ISA Server 2000 a while back for some reason, the NIC that
| was used for external when we used ISA is now disabled. We´re waiting
| to implement ISA 2004 :) when SP1 ships.
|
| How many IP adrresses are bound on the NIC = Only 1 IP and that is the
| servers internal IP adress.
|
| Did what you said about IIS and checked everything... collected the
| IIS log, which looks like this after an activesync attempt.

| Microsoft-SmartPhone/3.0 - -my.mail.domain 400 0 0 318 437 562
|
| A question about the above that IP adress 2xx.xxx.xxx.xxx which IP
| adress does that refer to?
|
| What do you think about this?
|
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=3005&eventno=2656&source=Server%2
0ActiveSync&phase=1
|
| That´s the eventid that is triggered on the SBS server when attempting
| an activesync. Indicates I may need a hotfix..hmm.
|
|
| Hope you can dig out something from the above. If I can´t get this to
| work, how should I go about it to just reinstall IIS and reconfigure
| the whole shebang on the SBS? Don´t wanna reinstall the whole server
| due to this :(
|
| thx much / fahlis
