The registry setting is taking effect, Best performance is checked, but it
is still operating in the XP default mode no matter how many reboots. So it
appears as if the change works, but the settings are not changing. Even
though the registry edit checks "Adjust for Best Performance" box, the
settings are still as XP default. You should try the registry edit yourself
on a test machine, you will understand clearly. And it doesnt matter which
workstation the registry edit is applied too, it does the same on all
workstations. Read this link and these people will tell you the same
thing....
