Re: 550 sometimes but not others

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I don't understand what you mean by the "POP3 ISP".

The user's Outlook is configured with 4 POP3 accounts (unlike most the other
users who use cached Exchange mode). 3 of those accounts' SMTP & POP3
servers are configured to be the SBS (internal IP address). His 4th account
gets mail from his MSN account. I assume it uses POP3, but I'm not sure how
it's configured. A few weeks ago he configured it with the help of a MSN
support tech over the phone. (He's out of town this week, so it's difficult
for me to actually examine that MSN configuration until he returns.)

Two days ago he received 5 NDRs like this one;

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: FW: Gerlovich Current Instructor Card and Insurance
Sent: 5/10/2005 10:47 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'Ann' on 5/10/2005 10:47 AM

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for ann@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Today I will be tracking those to see if it tells me anything. Any other
ideas you have would be appreciated.

It MAY be that this only occurs when he forwards or responds to an email.
I've asked him & am waiting for his answer.

Thanks again for your help. I'll look forward to any response you have.
