Thanks for the response. I was able to get this issue resolved by performing
the following steps.

1. Launch MS SQL Server - Server Network Utility
2. Select the SBSMONITORING instance for your server which is listed as
SERVERNAME\SBSMONITORING
3. Move Named Pipes from Disabled to Enabled Protocols.
4. From Services.msc restart the MSSQL$SBSMONITORING service

Repeated re-installations of the SBS Monitoring services did not resolve
this issue.
