RPC over Https

Hi,

I've seen this topic has been covered before, but unfortunately was not able to find an answer that helped me. I'm trying to setup RPC over HTTPS here and am experiencing the following so far:

I'e gone through the Internet Connections Wizard, set up the certificate
(with our external server name), installed it on the client and am able to:

a) use OWA w/o any problem
b) do NOT get any certificate warnings (self-signed for company.dyndns.org)
c) go to comapny.dyndns.org/rpc, logon and get the expected error page

BUT when trying to connect with Outlook I it's not possible to connect to the exchange server. I've set it up as described and tried testing from within the comapny network and from outside. Outlook keeps asking me for username and password and when I cancel it will say that the exchange Server was not found.
The dialog box shows it wants to connect to companysbs.company.local (instead of company.dyndns.org)

On the other hand, the security event log on the SBS shows an "unknown user or bad password" message whenever I try to log in with Outlook RPC over HTTPS (although I use the same user / password combination that works with OWA and normal RPC over TCP/IP).

I'd appreciate, if anyone has any idea whats going wrong!
Thanks in advance
..sebastian
