SBS2003 & SUS waiting updates - causing login failures
Hi
SBS2003 Premium, SUS SP1.
I've recently installed a new server build & SUS. I adjusted GP to make
updates available to all domain computers, but for the updates not to
auto-install.
I have previously noticed on other servers that if updates are available to
be installed in the system tray, the server does not appear to run correctly
until they are installed. On this new server, if updates are waiting to
install on the server (globe in system tray), the server appears to
progressively refuse connections from domain workstations, until after
several hours, no-one can login.
Is this a feature of SUS, or is there some configuration issue? Also, if it
is recommended to remove the server from SUS updates within GP, does anyone
have a step-by-step method to do this please?
Regards
Nick
