hi jerry, thanks for the quick comeback...
i've "fixed" the problem by reducing the backup data to less than the
uncompressed tape limit, ie 36Gb. now it works fine. however, HW compression
should take this up to 72Gb...this is whats not happening with SBS backups
and results in "failure to mount media" errors in the backup log for any
backup sets over 36Gb.
thing is, if i run a full manual backup of 45Gb, it all works fine so
somewhere in SBS, the HW compression is falling over....your thoughts are
appreciated.
