Hello Anthony,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I understand that you want to redirect the files from My Document in the
server to clients' network home folder. If I have misunderstood your
concern, please let me know.
Before we go any further, I need your assistance to gather some detailed
information to isolate the issue.
1. Do you install any software on your server? Like Zino Reader? Please
check with our Windows Server Catalog to see whether this software works
compatible with SBS 2K3. Their link is:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/catalog/server/
I suggest you that contact the software vendor and see if there are any
special requirements that the My Documents folder must be contained in the
user's profile folder.
2. What is the full content of the error message?
3. Can you fully explain "The problem is that the programs that need access
to my documents fail because it says that it cannot on the Zino readers we
use when opening a magazine it says that it cannot create A directory and
on the other program it just fails", please?
4. Run "eventvwr", see whether there is any error information, if so,
please paste me the full content of them, like Event ID, Source,
Description, etc.
Thanks for your time. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Brandy Nee
