ESE Error...Fix? Or buy new hardware???

I've been seeing this error for a while now, but don't know how to fix it.
Since I don't know how to fix it, I was thinking of just buying a new
server. Before I just go out and buy a new server though, I thought perhaps
some of you will be able to give me some tips and how-to's that may help me
fix the problem.

I've already checked KBs on this, and of the ones that I've read, it tells
me to check hardware as that is the main cause of this error. The problem
is that I don't know how to check the hardware for problems. It also states
checking the mobo manufacturer for a newer version, etc. I have not checked
the mobo manufacturer's site yet to see if they have an updated version.

There are two errors in the Application Log in Event Viewer. The first one
is an Error and the second one is a Warning. First, the first one:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: ESE
Event Category: Database Page Cache
Event ID: 474
Date: 5/1/2005
Time: 1:15:03 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SBSERVER
Description:
Information Store (2376) First Storage Group: The database page read from
the file "C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb" at offset 499388416
(0x000000001dc41000) for 4096 (0x00001000) bytes failed verification due to
a page checksum mismatch. The expected checksum was 2816669233342282641
(0x2716d1be8f237b91) and the actual checksum was 523646648460524
(0x0001dc40fc7824ec). The read operation will fail with error -1018
(0xfffffc06). If this condition persists then please restore the database
from a previous backup. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware.
Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the
problem.

The second one:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: ESE
Event Category: Online Defragmentation
Event ID: 705
Date: 5/1/2005
Time: 1:15:03 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SBSERVER
Description:
Information Store (2376) First Storage Group: Online defragmentation of
database 'C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb' terminated
prematurely after encountering unexpected error -1018. The next time online
defragmentation is started on this database, it will resume from the point
of interruption.

For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.

I believe the second one, the Warning, will disappear once the first one is
fixed as the online defragmentation will complete at that point.

Any ideas how to check the hardware for problems. I think it could be the
harddrives, but have no idea how to check them outside of doing a check disk
utility scan. I have two drives setup to mirror each other using hardware
to do the mirroring. I didn't start having this problem until the server
was upgraded from SBS2K to SBS2K3 Premium.

If I do need to buy a new server, I was thinking of this one
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=635309&Sku=V133-2196.
Will SBS2K3 Premium license work on a dual Xeon with HT? I like that it has
ECC memory and hot swapable drives. I don't think a raid 5 is needed for
our environment and would just rather have a mirror raid instead unless I'd
have it setup for raid 5 and mirroring in which case I'd have to buy three
more drives and hot swap cannisters for them and this server case doesn't
look like it would support the extra how swap cannisters.
