Outbound email getting rejected by variuos ISP's

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Several of my clients are getting their email rejected from various ISP's as
SPAM. Verizon is the most notable but one of my account sends to China and
Hong Kong. My solution has been to use my clients ISP's Smarthost to send
out. I have seen various postings but I haven't seen the actual resolution
and was wondering if there is another option besides using a Smarthost. Are
there changes I can make within Exchange to prevent the blocking?

TIA

John
