Hi,
Thanks for your update.
Before we go any further, in order to get a clear picture of the problem,
please help me collect the following information:
1. You do not have any problem when using companyweb before you update the
WMSDE. am I right?
2. Do you get any error message while install the SQL server and update the
WMSDE?
3. After you update the WMSDE, what is the exact error message when you try
to access the companyweb? Can you get a screenshot and post it in the
newsgroup?
4. Are the any event logs related to this issue?
5. Make sure that you have selected the "Window authentication mode" while
you install the SQL server.
6. Check if the MSSQL$SHAREPOINT service is running
7. Check if you are using the correct account and password for the
mssql$sharepoint service.
8. Also run CEICW and then see if there is any change.
Meanwhile, please install the following fix and see how things go from
there. You can download the hotfix here:
Critical Update for Windows Small Business Server 2003 (KB832880)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=CB7E90A1-DE9D-4A83-
85F8-951E9F055BF0&displaylang=en
Generally, the remove of the "Intranet" and "Monitoring" will not uninstall
the instances for them. If you want to uninstall the instance, you need to
uninstall them from the control panel -> add/remove programs, then select
the instance, click Remove.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions or if you need
further assistance. I'm glad to be of service.
Best regards,
Jerry Zhao (MSFT)
