Re: ACT .dbf files not syncronized

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Joe,

Did you redirect user's documents to the server? It sounds like sync is choking on database files. Does each user have a private set of ACT files? If all users should be sharing one database that database should be on the server (not in document redirection) and each user's ACT should look there for the database. If all users really do need their own, separate copy of ACT databases, put each user's separate copy in a separate folder on the server and point each copy of ACT to the appropriate location on the server.

Hello,
The enduser continually gets an error message that their ACT database files (*.dbf) are which by default are located in the C:\Documents and Settings\username\my documents\Act\Database within their domain user account cannot be syncronized. How can I remove the repeated error message and make sure these files are backed up to the SBS 2003 server? Thank you for any response.
