Help Me Before I Give Up Instalaltions Completely!

I've been doing a SBS2003 installation, and typically the sales people are
inept and can't organise anything correctly....
We should be installing ADSL on the clients site in around 2 weeks time, but
in the mean time, they want to use a modem for dial-up access for email!!!
Configuring this under SBS2003 is a breeze, with one major problem that has
me completely stumped.... The modem will not just disconnect after the email
is checked!!
Initially I created a pipex dial up account, and checked that it would
connect. Then, when I ran the SBS wizard for configuring the email and
internet access, and I selected dial-up, I was unable to see the dial up
connection I had just created, so I had to do a new account name with the
same settings of course.
Does anyone know WHY the account does not show up?
Can anyone tell me WHY the modem won't disconnect after checking for
email???
I've set the modem to auto-disconnect after 1 minute of inactivity...
I've even set the RAS profiles for 1 minute disconnects as well in case it
was to do with there, but still no difference!!!
So... with a client happy their system is up and running, but not happy
about the email side..... can anyone help?
Sad thing is.... had the idiotic sales person just delayed the
installation.. why there would be no problem!!!
