Can you share a printer in Active Directory if it is physically attached to a client machine

Hi, just wondering if you can share a printer through Active Directory
if it is attached to a client machine. Would assigning a static IP to
the client machine make a difference? I know the client machine would
need to be available at all times if someone wants to print.

Thanks in advance,

Terry
