I'm not Kev, Mick here, or SG for simplicity's sake.

Yes, you should be able to remove the greyed out adapter and any miniport
driver associated with it. Do the adapter and the miniport should disappear,
but sometimes it don't, if so I'd try restarting before manually removing.
